Claire Coggins played her college ball and Kansas State University where she became a 1,000 point scorer for the Wildcats. At Kansas State, she was voted All-Big 12 Second Team (2006) and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention (2005). In 2006, she helped lead her team to the Women's National Invitational Tournament Championship where she was voted the WNIT MVP. Coggins was drafted by the Chicago Sky of the WNBA following her time at Kansas State. Following her playing career, she spent time coaching at Connors State College, Oklahoma City University, and Kansas State University.
